The annual tree lighting service will be held tonight, Friday, Nov. 30 at 6:00 p.m. in the lobby of Tarr Music Center. Since 1981, the Carson-Newman Music Department has sponsored the event to begin the Christmas season. This year's service will include performances by the Men's Chorus, A Cappella Choir, and Combined Ensembles directed by Dr. Eric Thorson, the Women Singers directed by Mrs. Ann Jones, Redemption directed by Dr. Angela Holder, and the Woodwind Ensemble directed by Marshall Forrester. The prelude and processional will be provided by joint instrumental ensembles directed by both Pat Bivens and Dr. Ryan Garber.

This year's guest narrator will be Mrs. Vickie Butler, C-N's Vice President for Advancement, and Dr. Clark Measels will give the introduction and closing, as well as lead the traditional singing of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing with both the mass ensembles and audience.
