The Carson-Newman forensics team traveled to Rome, Georgia for Berry College's Georgia Mountain Swing Tournament. Finishing third behind the University of Alabama and Western Kentucky University, CN topped schools such as Florida State University and the University of Mississippi, The University of West Florida and Berry College.16 students competed for CN, 13 returning home with awards. Of particular note is junior Linley Freeman, from Oxford, MS, who was tournament champion in Novice Informative Speaking- her first championship in her young forensics career. Other awards included:
