Carson-Newman Tops Tusculum in Blood Drive

Carson-Newman defeated Tusculum in the Blood Drive for the second year in a row. During half time of the football game at Burk-Tarr Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 10, student body president, Nathaniel Lee represented Carson-Newman on the field as the winner was announced. President Lee held the trophy high to the student section after C-N was announced the winner. The Eagles defeated Tusculum in the blood drive by only 5 pints; Carson-Newman donated a total of 193 pints, and Tusculum was close behind with 188. Participation was down for both colleges this year. Last year, C-N collected 223 pints and still came out on top, with Tusculum donating only 196 pints.
