Alpha Chi National Honor Society is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair, Wednesday, February 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Maddox Student Activities Center. The twice-a-year event acts as a fundraiser and a scholarly and community service project. The proceeds will be used to purchase children's books for those in needy areas. It will also help Alpha Chi members with expenses so they can present scholarly papers at the National Alpha Chi Convention.
This is a free event open to everyone in the community and Clifford the Big Red Dog will also be present. Scholastic Book Fairs offer children's literature, computer software, learning games and tools, adult parenting, teaching, and special interest books. Also, every 30 minutes, there will be a drawing for a free poster. For more information, you can contact Dr. Ellen Millsaps at 865-471-3285, Dr. Jennifer Hall at 865-471-3282., or Dr. Mark Borchert 865-471-3294.
